    Censorship

    See???

    Well, I posted a photo of Emily [link] called "Dirty Knees". She's fully nude in this image and I chose to place a small star over her vagina. I got complaints from people saying that it detracted from the photo, etc., so I removed the star. I did so after saying that there's just no way to please everyone.

    So, today I looked in my notes and found out that one of my other pictures was banned. It was this image [link] of Stoya. She's not even naked and each of her hands is cleverly hiding potential nudity. I rest my case. You just can't win for losing. I'm assuming that someone with the power to ban thought she was ploughing her fingers into her ass, but that wasn't the case at all. One person's erotica is another person's porn.

    Maybe now people won't complain about artists' self-censorship.

    Censorship is always sad but the biggest sad thing it´s the people who report those pics/photos/etc and who lives just for reporting..... They needs a live, a real one..... (probably all of them are aspirating to have a Larry Craig´s way of life :XD:)

    :shrug: I think that dA err on the side of caution where there is any sign of implied sexual activity. *zeptae fell foul of that with a photo he took of *demonicademorte lying back on a bed with a guitar between her legs... the position of her hand, like in your photo of Stoya, could have been taken either to be concealment or stimulation. :hmm:

    However, I disagree with those who suggest dA are censor-happy. :no: They're treading a fine line between allowing full artistic expression, and protecting the site from the real censors, those who would happily campaign to have any and all 'dirty' art removed, and even shut down this site, to protect 'the children'. :roll:

    I dont understand DA sometimes... ive deleted almost all my pics cause its happening in a lot of good artits, happened not so much time ago to a mexican friend too in a draw without nudes.

    I see how a lot of stock galleries are simply stupid, bad pictures, bad resolutions, bad images... and noone says anything.

    I like your pic(s), i think its sexy and very erotic, i watch u since a time ago but u never use to comment but it makes me feel that DA doesnt deserve ur creations if its happening..

    Well, I don't understand them too.... They have removed some of my pictures too, and they had nothing (on my point of view) porn... and we cand find pictures so so so porn and without any kind of art (to me) that aren't removed....

    Hmmm... I can see the reason behind the banning of the Stoya photo, but you're a well known and respected nude/ fetish photographer who obviously knows the rules.

    The admin must've gone silly in the head :P

    DA I hope will re-read these comments, and please take note: Ban UNDER AGE MEMBERS BEFORE YOU MESS WITH ARTISTS. Admins don't be lazy....
